The US Congress authorized the providers to sell personal data of users

Donald Trump signed a bill permitting providers to sell or transfer personal information of their customers to third parties. Before that, Congress and the US Senate supported the document with a majority vote. The law will enter into force on December 4 this year.

The American media managed to bury privacy on the Internet, and the human rights organization Electronic Frontier Foundation reported that the country was plunged into total surveillance, and now it’s legal.

According to representatives of IT companies, the abolition of the ban simply allows them to show people more relevant advertising and offers, which will give an opportunity to return investments invested in the infrastructure.
