Moscow: Russia has fostered troops near Ukraine and the West has threatened economic sanctions if launching an invasion. Moscow denied planning an invasion but demanded guaranteed western security which swept in a tense deadlock.

The following is the main line of the main event in Ukrainian political history for winning independence from Moscow in 1991.

* 1991: Leonid Kravchuk, the leader of the Soviet Republic of Ukraine, declared independence from Moscow. In the referendum and presidential election, Ukraine approved independence and electing President Kravchuk.

* 1994: Leonid Kuchma Beats Kravchuk in the presidential election is considered largely free and fair by observers.

* 1999: Kuchma was re-elected in 1999 in a voice full of irregularities.

* 2004: Pro-Russian candidate Viktor Yanukovich was declared president but the allegations triggered the trigger of the sound in what was known as the orange revolution, forced the sound of the sound. The former Pro-West Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko was elected president.

* 2005: Yushchenko took over power with a promise to lead Ukraine out of the Kremlin orbit, towards NATO and EU. He appointed former Yulia Tymoshenko energy company boss as the prime minister but, after the dispute at Pro-West camps, he was fired.

* 2014: Protests, most of the focus around Kyiv’s Maidan Square, turned into violence. Dozens of demonstrators were killed. In February, Parliament chose to remove Yanukovich, who escaped. Within a few days, gunmen arrested parliament in the Crimean Ukrainian region and increased the Russian flag. Moscow attached the area after a March 16 referendum which showed extraordinary support in Crimea to join the Russian Federation.

– In April, pro-Russian separatists in the eastern region of Donbass declared independence. Battle broke which continued sporadically, despite the frequent ceasefire, to 2022.

– In May, Petro Poroshenko businessmen won the presidential election with a pro-west agenda.

– In July, a missile lowered the MH17 passenger plane on the way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, killing all 298 people on board. The weapons used were revealed by researchers to Russia, who denied involvement.

* 2017: Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU open the market for free trade and services, and visa-free travel to Ueraainia.

* 2019: The new Ukrainian Orthodox Church won formal recognition, angered the Kremlin.

– Former Comic Actor Volodymyr Zelenskiy beat Poroshenko in the April presidential election on a promise to overcome corruption and end the war in East Ukraine. His servant from the People Party won the July parliamentary election.

– US President Donald Trump asked Zelenskiy in July to investigate Joe Biden, his rival in the US President’s race, and Biden Hunter’s son for the possibility of business transactions in Ukraine. Calls lead to efforts that fail to impose Trump.

* March 2020 – Ukraine entered his first lock to curb Covid-19.

* June 2020 – IMF approved a lifetime of $ 5 billion to help Ukraine die default during a recession induced by a pandemic.

* 202 January – Appeal to Zelenskiy for Biden, now President A.S., to let Ukraine join NATO.

* 2021 – The Zelenskiy government imposed sanctions at Viktor Medvedchuk, an opposition leader and the most prominent Kremlin Allies in Ukraine.

* Spring 2021 – Russian mass troops near the Ukrainian limit in what he said training practice.

October 2021 – Ukraine used Turkish TB2 bayraktar drones for the first time in East Ukraine, making Russia angry.

* Autumn 2021 – Russia again started massing troops near Ukraine.

* 7 December – Biden warns Russian western economic sanctions that sweep if it attacks Ukraine.

* 17 DES – Russia presents detailed security demands including a legally binding guarantee that NATO will hand over any military activities in Eastern Europe and Ukraine.

* 10 Jan – A.S. And Russian diplomats failed to narrow differences in Ukraine.

* Jan. 14 – A Cyberattack of Ukrainian warnings for “scared and expect” hits the worst Ukrainian government website.

* January 17 – Russian forces began to arrive in Belarus, north of Ukraine, for joint exercises.

* January 24 – NATO places troops with standby and strengthens Eastern Europe with more ships and combat jets.

* 26 Jan – Washington presents a written response to Russian security demands, repeating the commitment to the “Open-Door” policy while offering “pragmatic” discussion about Moscow’s concern.

* 28 Jan – President Vladimir Putin said the main security demands of Russia have not been overcome.

* February 2 – The United States said it would send 3,000 extra troops to Poland and Romania to help protect NATO allies in Eastern Europe from every abundance of the crisis.

* 4 Feb – Putin, at the Beijing Winter Olympics, won Chinese support for his demands that Ukraine was not permitted to join NATO.

* 7 Feb – French President Emmanuel Macron saw some hope for a crisis diplomatic resolution after meeting Putin in Kremlin. Makron then visited Kyiv and praised Zelenskiy’s “Sang-Froid” and the people of Ukraine.

* 9 Feb – Biden said, “Things can be crazy quickly” as the US State Department advised Americans in Ukraine immediately left. Other countries also urge their citizens to leave.

* Feb 14 – Zelenskiy urges Ukraine to fly flags and sing the national anthem simultaneously on February 16, dating some Western media say Russia can attack.

* February 15 – Russia said several troops returned to the base after the training near Ukraine and mocked the west warnings about the towering invasion. The Russian parliament asked Putin to recognize as two Breakaway areas supported by Russia in East Ukraine.

* February 18 – Ambassador for organizations for security and cooperation in Europe Michael Carpenter said Russia may have fostered between 169,000-190,000 personnel inside and near Ukraine.

* February 19 – Russian strategic nuclear forces held a training supervised by Putin.

* Feb 21 – Macron France said Biden and Putin had agreed to the principle to the top of Ukraine. The Kremlin said Putin would sign a decision that recognized two regions that separated themselves in East Ukraine as an independent entity immediately.
