Kyiv: Russian air strikes on Wednesday damaged a pediatric and maternity hospital in the city of Port Ukraine which was surrounded, injured at least 17, the official Pavlo said Pavlo Kyrylenko.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted videos on Twitter which showed a massive destruction in the large medical complex, including exploding windows and internal walls torn, which he said was caused by “direct attack by Russian forces”.

He said that adults and children were “under the ruins”.

“So far there are 17 personnel who were injured in the hospital,” Kyrylenko, head of the Southeast Donetsk region, said later in the video posted on Facebook.

He added that “so far no injured child” and there is no death “.

Kyrylenko said on Facebook that the attack “literally destroyed” maternity hospitals in the city center which also included a pediatric unit.

He said that a Russian pilot clearly knew where the bomb would land.

Mariupol in the Azov Sea in Southeast Ukraine was surrounded by Russian forces, who had bombarded the city even though promised a ceasefire to allow civilians to be evacuated.

The video posted by Kyrylenko and city authorities showed the evacuation of the hospital including a woman on a stretcher and a woman was supported by two men as she walked out.

They showed a big crater on the courtyard of the hospital, the branches flinched from the tree and burned the car, while the ward was torn from the building facade.

Zelensky condemned the attack as a “cruelty” and called again for zones without flies to be charged in the country. NATO refused to do this.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also condemned the attack, saying: “There are some more depraved things than targeting vulnerable and helpless.”
