The series was updated in December 2020 after being mentioned in the film Mockumetaringy Netflix, Death to 2020. The makers have not announced other changes in the cast until now. The event was directed by Brian Smith and presented by Rutledge Wood. Wood is expected to return as the host.
This event was inspired by Indiana Jones and Night at the Museum Film Series. The first arrangement will become a natural history museum but changed into a large house. Video games have also become an influence in designing levels, with crew specifically mentions not mapped as an example.
