Netflix UK produces a Bank of Dave, a biographical film about Dave Fishwick, a man home -class burnley who struggles to establish a community bank so he can help local businesses. What is the plot of Bank Dave?
Based on Dave Fishwick’s real life experience, Bank Dave tells the story of how a Burnley man of the working class and a homemade millionaire struggled to establish a community bank so that he could help local business Burnley not only survived, but developed.
In his efforts to help his favorite community in Burnley, he must face the London elitist financial institution and fight to receive the first new banking license issued in more than 100 years.
Fishwick said in a press release:
“Having a global film made in Burnley about an important part of my life, is really extraordinary. I was overwhelmed when I was approached with that idea and was very pleasant to see production immediately began. “
Who was thrown to Bank Dave?
The main members of the Netflix cast, The Bank of Dave are Rory Kinnear, Joel Fry and Phoebe Dynevor. Kinnear (there is no time to die, Penny Dreadful, Black Mirror) will play Dave Fishwick himself. Joel Fry (Game of Thrones, our flag means death) will star as a young lawyer London Hugh who was rented by Dave to fight his case against the British banking system. Dynevor (Bridgerton) will play as a local doctor Alexandra. Additional casts include Hugh Bonneville (Notting Hill, Paddington), Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones, After Life) and Jo Hartley (After Life).
