New Delhi: US President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced a difficult new sanction in Russia to “start” the invasion of Ukraine but said there was still time to avoid war, even when Vladimir Putin signaled a plan to send troops outside the Russian border.
The house on Russia, the Federation Board, gave a rounded bulin consent to spread the “peacekeeper” to two areas of Ukraine who have not separated themselves now recognized by Moscow as independent, and has the potential to other parts of Ukraine.
Biden announced what he called “first phase” of sanctions, including steps for Russian hunger financing and targeting financial institutions and “elite” of the country.
But he left the door open for the last attempt to diplomacy to avoid full-scale Russian invasion.
“There is no question that Russia is an aggressor, so we are clear with the challenges we face,” said the President.
“Even so, there is still time to avoid the worst scenario that will bring countless suffer with millions of people.”
