Shanghai residents can be heard loudly screaming from their balconies and windows as rolls of cities under a tight lock since April 5. The population of 25 million plus the city is prohibited from leaving their homes for certain reasons including buying food. The Chinese government has also dropped limited share and shipping services, several news reports have been claimed.
A video that has more than 5 million views has taken over Twitter which shows people shouting from their apartment. High buildings with flashing lights all echo the same thing – the restless shouts of people closed for days.

One of the world’s main financial hubs, Shanghai has seen a massive surge in Coronavirus cases which encourages the government to force a strict chef who has influenced the population seriously. Shanghai saw more than 25,000 Covid cases only on Sundays; The city has fought against the country’s worst outbreak since Wuhan in 2019.
The city flows low on food and medical supplies and only volunteers and health workers can be seen on quiet streets.
Economics Epidemiology and Health Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding shared several videos and said that China might “hit the solution point”.
Other residents have documented locking, which gradually has become more stringent, in tweets and has updates on the 22nd day of shutdown.
“Day 22 of my Shanghai Covid Kuncian. As we quoted yesterday, we had a new limit. Before we were allowed to leave our building (but not a community) to get delivery – no more; now we are not allowed out of our apartment doors,” Jared Nelson, a lawyer, tweeted.
Some other videos of people who protest songs, and even go up to the road because of lack of food has been viral on social media.
Lots of terrible reports and videos on Twitter showing people who are dying because suicide may not be able to overcome closed frustration and have limited food and medical supplies. Graphic reports and videos also showed pets taken from those who were tested positively Covid allegedly killed.
The gloomy situation in Shanghai has led citizens to protest the streets for food and basic needs.
