Snapchat pioneered the idea of uploading “Fana Story” – Photos/Video/Text uploads that automatically disappear after a day – before being imitated by Instagram and then by every application that can be imagined available. Meta, in particular, makes the point of adding stories not only Instagram and Facebook, but also WhatsApp, where we receive something very similar in the guise of “status” updates. You may have sent images, videos, GIFs, and text messages to your status, but you might soon have access to a completely new option: voice message.
According to the evidence found by Wabetainfo, WhatsApp seems to be working on features that will allow users to record and send audio messages to their WhatsApp status. After the ability is available, the application must allow you to record audio messages as you can do now in the conversation. This may include uploading existing audio files (because it can also be sent as a message in WhatsApp chat), but we have not seen evidence about this. Voice recordings in the status update will be shared with your WhatsApp contact using the same privacy settings as images and videos, and they will also be encrypted tip to end. WhatsApp is not the only application that experimented with sound posting. Twitter has tested the ability to send voice tweets on iOS for some time, but their abilities are not yet available to everyone. However, in the case of WhatsApp, it seems to be a natural extension of the status option – the software has allowed audio messages and has done it for several years, so why not allow individuals to publish it in their status as well? Unfortunately, if you want to record 4 minutes of anger and publish it to your status, this function is still in the work and is not yet available for beta examiners. When it arrives, it is likely that it will be limited to those in beta applications before it is available to the general public.
