Washington: A shooter alone who wounded four people in the upper class Washington killed himself before being arrested, the city police chief said Friday night.

The Connecticut Avenue-Van Ness environment in the US capital – where several schools and embassies are located – collected by law enforcement and locked up after a shot erupted in Friday afternoon.
Stuart’s assistant Chief Stuart Emerman said three people had been taken to the hospital – two adults who were in critical but stable condition and a 12-year-old girl with a small gunshot wound.

Another individual with a scratch wound behind was treated at the scene, Emerman added.

“The suspect that we believe is responsible for this now dead,” said Police Chief Washington Robert Contrere at a Friday night conference.

He said the shooters were suspected of taking his own life when police officers violated the fifth floor apartment where he was and they found “a sniper type with a tripod.”

Although there is no unknown motive, “he explained the intention was to kill and hurt members of our community,” Contee added.

A widely distributed video on social media shows a long bursts of automatic shots on many people who run for protection, seems to be taken from the shooter perspective.

“Looks very authentic,” said Contree about the video, but it was clarified that still needed to be confirmed forensically and unknown if the video streamed directly or uploaded afterwards.

More than six weapons recovered from the fifth floor apartment, Contrere said, and “many, some round of ammunition.”

The photos installed later by the police department on Twitter showed three assault assault rifles with the scope of lying on a table with a tripod in the background and one pistol.

Contree said that the police believed the weapon was obtained legally based on preliminary information.

The shooting came a little more than a week after a gunman opened fire on the new York City subway, injuring 23.

The suspect was arrested after a day-to-day hunting and had been charged with accusations related to terror.
