Netflix December 2021 release list is now with us and one of the surprises is that Netflix will receive the fourth classic NBC season, Knight Rider, starring David Hasselhoff. The four seasons and films will be regarding Netflix in the United States on December 1, 2021.
For those who were born in the 90s or more, you may not be familiar with the classic NBC event which aired between 1982 and 1986. Knight Rider starred in David Hasselhoff who played the role of Michael Knight who struggled next to his super-sophisticated car, Kitt.
The series was made by Glen A. Larson who went to work with the 20th century fox after the conclusion of the Knight Rider. Larson is known as a big show like Hardy’s children, Battlestar Gallactica, and Quincy.
This series is currently available in the NBC application in full (not Peacock SMS) and Starz at the time of writing. It is not clear whether this series will leave this service so that it is not exclusive on Netflix (probably not going).
Now the question you might have is how long the Knight Rider is on Netflix? Well, it’s not clear. We have seen many licenses to Netflix for a shorter period in recent years as providers looking for more control over their property. Our best guess now is that Netflix will have a show for one or two years but don’t be shocked if shorter.
The Knight Rider 2000 will also drop as part of a drop on December 1. We first reported that this film came to our Netflix on November 3.
Of course, the license to Netflix could have attracted interest in the reboot which was very rumored that Hasselhoff confirmed during the summer. The last officially heard of the new Knight Rider film returned in August 2020 where TJ Fixman was on the script and media spyglass and James Wan produced. Can this give a new film signal that comes exclusively to Netflix? Time will answer.
