India Medical Research Council (ICMR) Head Dr. Balram Bhargava said that there was no scientific evidence so far to determine that the amplifier vaccine dose was needed for further protection of Coronavirus (Covid-19). “The organizer of the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine for all adult residents, and ensures that not only India, but the whole world will be vaccinated, is the government’s priority for now,” said ICMR Director General (DG).

“More than that, there is no scientific evidence so far to support the need for resplage vaccine doses against Covid-19,” said PTI news agency Bhargava on Sunday.

Senior scientist statement comes in the background of the latest report that the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTagi), for central panel experts on immunization, is likely to meet in the last week of November to discuss key issues such as booster shots, and open vaccinations for children -child.

In the past few days, several people, including the Minister Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot, has urged the Union government to allow supporters.

“The center cannot make a direct decision in this matter. When ICMR said that the amplifier shot must be given, we will consider later. At present, the aim is to complete the full vaccination of the target population. After completion, the amplifier decision will be taken. We have enough stock available, “said Minister of Health Union Mansukh Mandaviya recently.

According to official data, of 940 million adults who qualified, around 82 percent have taken their first dose of Covid-19 Jab, while almost 43 percent have taken both doses, or, in other words, fully inoculated.

The national vaccination against this viral disease began on January 16 this year. Until now, almost 1.17 billion doses have been given.
