The Live-Action Resident action series was coming to Netflix in 2022. After years of speculation we got confirmation that the show was in the work with filming that occurred throughout 2021. This is your first sight on Netflix and what we can expect.
Resident Evil is the upcoming Netflix series based on the Capcom game with the same name. The franchise launched in 1996 has given birth to many sequels of video games, novels, and popular film franchises.
Netflix seems to be flowing in evil resident with this live-action series and at least two animated projects too, the first is Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness released on Netflix on July 2021.
Netflix itself didn’t really post anything official about the live-action series until August 27, 2020. That’s when they publish the first detail through the previous Nxonnetflix account.
In the script posted by Nxonnetflix on August 2020, we know that episode is called “Welcome to the new Racoon City”. This episode was written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead).
Andrew Dabb is a series helming. Previous credit included supernatural for CW. This caused some initial concerns around the first season but at this point, it was too early to tell.
Before we dig further to weeds, this is your first sight at Resident Evil in the form of the first display teaser from Zombie Doberman plus two photos in the form of a dog-style version seen in the teaser and logo for a new series.
What is the evil resident 1 season plot?
This series was first reported in January 2019 according to deadlines. The following is said about the upcoming resident evil series plot;
“The drama series will explore the dark inner work from the Umbrella Corporation and a new world order caused by the outbreak of T-Virus. While the project at the initial stage, this series is expected to combine all the typical elements of Resident Evil, including the sequence of actions and Easter eggs.”
At the beginning of 2020, the Netflix media site registered the official story description for this series (although since it has been removed). This is the description:
“The city of Clearfield, MD has long stood in the shadows of three giants who do not seem to be related – Umbrella Corporation, ASylum Greenwood is disabled, and Washington, DC today, twenty six years after the discovery of T-virus, the secret held by the secret. The three will begin to be revealed on the signs of the first outbreak. ”
From our understanding, the story lasts more than two time lines.
The first involved Jade’s 14-year-old sister and Billie Wesker moved to the new city of Raccoon. They realized that their father could hide dark secrets that could destroy the world.
The second timeline lasted for a decade in the future, where only 15 million people remained, with more than 6 billion animals and people were infected with T-viruses. This follows Jade, now thirty, in his efforts to survive in this world.
How far is the production of evil resident?
Pre-pre-production will take place on April 2020 before the main shooting between June and October 2020. As you might guess, the plan was discarded after Covid-19 destroyed each and all production schedules in 2020. The new date of February 2021 was reported, but since then has changed too.
Thanks to the previous report from production so far, we knew that the Resident Evil series was very deep into filming. The main photography began on September 8, 2021, and is scheduled to end on December 14, 2021. It should be noted that the date of filmmaking applies to “British Columbia Unit” which is ongoing in Vancouver, Canada.
Film making will also take place at Cape Town, South Africa.
