Why isn’t The Good Doctor on Netflix US?
Even though Netflix has taken several ABC shows in recent years, good doctors have not been between them and will continue that mode.
In the United States, ABC is owned by Disney which has partial shares in the upstream where it chooses to place most of the shows by default unless a separate setting can be done.
In the case of a good doctor, there is no arrangement made meaning that upstream still has a subscription service that currently carries the show.
In the long run, this event can be licensed but in recent years, Disney / ABC only chooses to do so with free streaming services such as IMDBTV. Trusted that domestic Disney-ABC television has a single right for this series, unlike international rights for the series.
Other Netflix Regions Availability for The Good Doctor
Until 2021, no Netflix area outside the United States managed to secure the first season or the following season from a good doctor. In the case of most countries, alternative settings have been made.
For example in the UK, this series is exclusively available at NOWTV.
Since our last update in 2018, craving in Canada has taken a license for the 1 to 3 season from a good doctor.
In 2020 Videos Prime Amazon took rights in Australia, this series landed on Netflix AU with 1-3 season on May 4, 2021.
